Harry Brook, Shubman Gill and Wiaan Mulder headline latest ICC Rankings shift

Harry Brook has returned to the top of the ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings after a brilliant 158 against India, while Shubman Gill and Wiaan Mulder achieved major career milestones across the latest Test and ODI updates.

Brook’s performance in Birmingham has earned him 886 rating points, pushing him past Joe Root and reclaiming the No.1 spot he briefly held in December 2024. Root drops to second after a six-month reign.

Gill’s record-breaking 430-run Test lifts him to No.6

India captain Shubman Gill became only the second player in Test history to score over 150 in both innings of a match, notching 269 and 161 in Edgbaston. His match aggregate of 430 runs is the second-highest in Test history.

That effort rockets Gill 15 places up to a career-best 6th position in the Test batting rankings, having started the series ranked 23rd.
