cricexec’s “Week in Review” is moving to Sunday — and getting its own email

cricexec's roundup of the industry's biggest stories is becoming a standalone Sunday email — because readers told us they want it before the week starts, not once it already has.

Cricexec Weekly Briefing collage featuring ICC governance, Women's Power50 2026, Big Bash League, India-Australia cricket, England and Wales Cricket Board, USA Cricket, American Cricket Enterprises, Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands, Israel cricket, BCCI and Olympic cricket developments.

Starting this weekend, cricexec‘s Week in Review will arrive on Sunday as its own email, rather than as an article inside Monday’s Daily Briefing.

The impetus came from subscribers. The Week in Review — our rundown of the previous week’s 15 most significant stories — has become one of the most-read items we publish, and the most common piece of feedback about it has been the same: it arrives too late. Executives reading it on Monday morning are already into their weeks. Many told us they wanted it over the weekend, when there is time to properly read and digest it.

So that is what is happening. The Week in Review will now be sent on Sunday, when it is ready, as a standalone email dedicated entirely to the roundup. It will no longer appear as one article among many in the Monday briefing.

Much of our readership operates across time zones where Monday morning in one market is already Monday evening in another. A Sunday send gives the roundup a clearer run and gives readers a genuine week-ahead briefing.

Subscribers do not need to do anything. If you already receive cricexec’s Daily Briefing, the Week in Review will be delivered to you automatically every Sunday. No preferences need to be updated.

The Daily Briefing continues as normal, Monday through Friday, with the same mix of news, features, and interviews from across the global cricket industry.

If you have thoughts on the format — what you want more of, what you want cut — we would like to hear them.
