ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Coach Development Specialist to join the Community Cricket and Capability division. Coaches are integral to the success of the game, and we need you to join Cricket Australia and lead the design, development and implementation of initiatives that are focused on attracting, developing and retaining community cricket coaches. As the successful Coach Development Specialist, other key responsibilities of your role include:

  • Ensure coaching initiatives reflect strategic direction of the junior cricket experience
  • Build strong relationships with coaches, stakeholders and community partners to support effective delivery of coaching initiatives
  • Support the delivery of Australian Cricket’s (AC’s) Women & Girls Action Plan, Multicultural Action Plan and Reconciliation Action Plan by leading initiatives related to attracting and retaining coaches from under-represented communities
  • Work closely with staff in the State/Territory (S/T) Cricket Associations to understand and evolve coach development requirements across Community Cricket

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful Coach Development Specialist will have:

  • Graduate or Post-Graduate qualifications in Human Resources, Adult Education
  • Certificate IV in training and assessment (highly regarded)
  • Experience leading and working in complex organisations with a proven ability to lead team, influence and align stakeholders
  • Strong program management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivery a variety of learning programs and a strong understanding of digital learning platforms
  • Previous experience in facilitating training across a multitude of platforms
  • Demonstrated experience with innovation and/or gamification
  • Good cricket acumen and nous and a good understanding of the sports industry
