About the job
National Cricket Blast Lead
Working for Cricket Australia means that you become a part of Australia’s proud history and help us look toward the future. Our players and teams are successful, inspiring and reflect the values and aspirations of the community they represent. As an organisation, we are seeking to drive bold, transformative change in digital experiences, junior participation, culturally diverse inclusion, gender equality and sustainability, whilst also reimagining the W/BBL, building player connection through storytelling and playing our part in developing the game globally.
Our purpose is clear; to unite and inspire everyone to love and play cricket. Cricket is so much more than just a game; it brings people together and binds us all through our shared experiences.
This is your opportunity to join a purpose led organisation that truly makes a difference to Australians.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The National Cricket Blast Lead plays a vital role in driving the success of Woolworths Cricket Blast, Australia’s premier entry-level cricket program. This position ensures that participants, families, and program coordinators have everything they need for a fantastic first experience in the game. With cricket’s ambitious goal of doubling Cricket Blast participation by 2027, the National Cricket Blast Lead will be instrumental in growing the program, identifying market opportunities, and strengthening key stakeholder relationships.
No day is the same in the National Cricket Blast Lead role, you will be primarily responsible for program growth and strategy. This means that you will lead the evolution of Woolworths Cricket Blast by leveraging data, insights, and feedback to refine program design and enhance customer experience. You will identify participation trends to pinpoint opportunities for expansion and intervention in declining areas. You will collaborate with peers across Australian Cricket to implement strategies that drive sustained participation growth. Importantly, you will build and maintain strong relationships with our commercial partners (Woolworths, Dettol, W/BBL) to elevate awareness and engagement with the program.
Funding and compliance will be a core part of this role as you manage funding opportunities including grant applications and compliance reporting. In addition, you will oversee the operational efficiency of Cricket Blast at a national level.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor degree in Sports Management/Administration and ideally and understanding of the cricket landscape. We need someone who has excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence across a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be customer focussed with a drive for continuous improvement. A knowledge of entry level sporting programs will be important, as will be your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
Our employees at Cricket are gifted an additional week of leave at the end of the season! As a CA employee, you will also have other benefits including:
- Tickets to the Cricket for you to take your friends and family and experience Australia’s favourite game!
- A flexible working environment, meaning we strike the balance of what you need and what works for the business (this isn’t limited to working remotely)
- Discounts from our partners such as ASICS and salary packaging options
- A multitude of leave types including paid parental leave and volunteer leave
