ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting for a 12-month parental leave cover for our Women & Girls Strategic Growth Lead within our Community Cricket & Capability department. This is an amazing opportunity for someone to drive the execution of our Women & Girls Action Plan, including the development of the long-term branding and future proposition for Women’s cricket and strategic participation growth of women and girls across Australia. This role is critical for connecting all aspects of our Women & Girls Action Plan, driving accountability across Australian Cricket (AC), and responsible for leading and collaborating with key internal & external stakeholders to execute a shared vision and plan to transform the game of cricket for women & girls.
This is a Career Band 3 position. Reporting to the Head of Participation, you’ll be responsible for:
- The execution of the Women & Girls Action Plan and driving accountability and connection across AC to ensure we deliver on strategic ambitions.
- Leading a cross-functional team to develop the long-term branding and future proposition for women’s cricket, including international teams and the WBBL.
- Working with the Senior Manager, Participation and Senior Manager, Growth Initiatives to use data and insights to develop, implement and deliver the national women & girls participation strategy to substantially grow participation, with a sharp focus on 5-12-year-olds.
- Leading and collaborating with State & Territory (S&T) associations to execute a shared vision and plan for women & girls participation programs that transform Cricket Blast, Junior Cricket and informal / social Cricket offerings to accelerate participation growth, including leading the Women & Girls National Network.
- Leading Project Inspire, CA’s pilot women’s leadership program to directly address the recruitment and retention of women as key volunteers and community leaders in cricket clubs across Australia.
- Working in close collaboration with the Community Cricket & Capability department leaders to ensure connection and integration of programs and initiatives across the participation pathway and department more broadly.
- Managing and nurturing key commercial partner relationships.
- Providing strategic guidance and budget management for the implementation and delivery of the Growing Cricket for Girls Fund.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor or Master’s degree) in Business or Sport related discipline
- Outstanding stakeholder relationship skills and business partnership capability
- Experience driving new audiences and building awareness of new products would be considered an asset.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to clearly articulate, influence and drive strategic priorities
- Demonstrable project management expertise and experience managing and driving change
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration and creative thinking skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, including building presentations
- Passionate and self-motivated, positive can-do attitude and a team player
- Demonstrated capability to develop and support the delivery of national programs
