Cricket Canada appoints former India A player T.P. Singh as national head coach

The two-time Ranji Trophy champion brings coaching experience across India, Canada, the UK and Australia, with a mandate to strengthen Canada's national teams, develop emerging talent and improve high-performance pathways.

TORONTO, ON — Cricket Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Tejinderpal Singh (T.P. Singh) as Head Coach of its National Teams.

Singh brings extensive coaching experience, including his tenure as a head coach in the Indian first-class setup, as well as experience coaching various age group teams. His background is further complemented by coaching experience in India, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

A two-time Ranji Trophy champion, Singh played 65 first-class and 67 List A matches, scoring 3,900 first-class runs, including seven centuries. He represented India A on three occasions and was included among the senior Indian team’s ICC Champions Trophy and 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup probables.

His appointment brings together strong domestic and international experience, with a focus on developing emerging talent, strengthening Canada’s high-performance pathways, and improving tactical preparation and consistency across all formats.
