Board Director

Cricket NSW is seeking applications for a cricket-loving female to join our existing Board as a Director. The initial appointment term is two years and the Board meets ten times per year. In addition, Directors are also expected to participate in Board-appointed committees, member meetings and events throughout the year. This is an unpaid voluntary role.

This appointment represents an exciting opportunity for a committed, highly passionate, cricket-lover to join our organisation and work with our existing Board and management team to drive the strategy, growth and performance of cricket in New South Wales.

About Cricket New South Wales

Cricket NSW (CNSW) is focused on leading and growing the game throughout the state. We oversee all cricket from elite professional teams to community, school, and social cricket programs. As a purpose and people led organisation, CNSW’s purpose is to inspire everyone to play and love cricket, with our current strategic focus on growing the number of 5-12-year-olds playing cricket and delivering memorable experiences to participants and fans.

Selection Criteria

As a volunteer Board, all of our Directors are passionate about our sport, our team and our communities; striving always to achieve our vision of inspiring everyone to play and love cricket. We are a values-driven organisation, and all members of our Board are expected to exhibit personal alignment to our organisational values of humility, excellence, imagination and relationships. In addition, all of our Directors are expected to demonstrate:

In order to grow and expand the existing Board’s skills and expertise, we are looking for candidates who possess expert-level skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:

– Sporting performance

– Sport administration and community

– Strategy, planning and evaluation

– Governance

– Risk & Compliance

– Legal, in particular sporting law

– Finance

– Government relations, marketing and communications

– People & culture

– Technology, digital & cyber security

An existing connection to, or experience in, cricket is valued but not essential.
