Rangpur Riders aim for back‑to‑back Global Super League crowns
The Rangpur Riders, the reigning champions of the ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL), have unveiled their 16‑player squad for the upcoming second edition, set to be held at Providence, Guyana, from 10–18 July 2025.
Comeback kings return
After a dramatic run in the inaugural season—losing their first three matches before winning the final three and lifting the trophy—the Riders are ready to reassert their dominance.
BPL pedigree meets Caribbean flair
Hailing from the Bangladesh Premier League, Rangpur bring strong credentials: a 2017 BPL title and consistent playoff appearances. Leading the charge again is captain Nurul Hasan Sohan, along with top-scorer Soumya Sarkar and strike bowler Kamrul Islam Rabbi.
Balanced squad with international stars
The Riders have bolstered their lineup with overseas talent, including West Indies batsman Kyle Mayers, South African wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi, Pakistan’s all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed, and Afghan opener Ibrahim Zadran.
