During the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 match between the Netherlands and Nepal at Kampong, KNCB CEO Huib van Walsem officially received the cheque for the contribution from Nederlandse Loterij for 2025 from Marlof Kokke on behalf of Nederlandse Loterij.
“We are extremely grateful for this contribution,” said Huib van Walsem. “Thanks to this amount, we can continue to invest in the development of cricket in the Netherlands. From supporting clubs and youth programs to training coaches, officials, and volunteers. In this way, we make our sport stronger, more accessible, and future-proof.”
The contribution from Nederlandse Loterij helps the KNCB to further grow cricket throughout the Netherlands. As a result, not only top athletes but also thousands of recreational players, volunteers, clubs, and fans benefit from the continued development of the sport.
In May 2026, Nederlandse Loterij announced it would return over €200 million to Dutch society. Of this amount, €53.8 million is available for NOC*NSF and 79 affiliated sports federations, to be invested in the development of sport in the Netherlands.
The KNCB thanks Nederlandse Loterij and its players for this great contribution to the future of cricket in the Netherlands.
