‘Catch the Spirit’ campaign launches ahead of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales

The ICC and ECB have launched a bold new global marketing campaign titled ‘Catch the Spirit’ to build anticipation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be hosted across England and Wales next summer.

The campaign features cricket stars Ellyse Perry (Australia), Hayley Matthews (West Indies), Lauren Bell (England), and Richa Ghosh (India), along with a surprise cameo by former England legend Andrew Flintoff. Together, they bring to life the energy, spirit, and cultural buzz that surrounds a World Cup on home soil.

Tickets now on general sale for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup

With the campaign going live, tickets are now available on general sale for the tournament, which runs from 12 June to 5 July 2026. A total of 33 matches will be played across 24 days, starting at Edgbaston, Birmingham and culminating in a final at the iconic Lord’s.

Matches are expected to draw record crowds across England and Wales as the world’s top cricketers compete at premier stadiums. With demand already high, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early.

Players and legends speak on the campaign’s energy and purpose

Lauren Bell (England) said: “For me, Catch the Spirit means big crowds, big moments and big energy! Watching the girls win the 2017 World Cup inspired me to become a cricketer — now we want to inspire a new generation.”

Ellyse Perry (Australia) added: “World Cups are about more than just what happens on the field — it’s the energy they bring to communities and families. This one is going to be unforgettable.”

Richa Ghosh (India) noted: “It’s all about the fans — the cheering, the energy. It’s going to be amazing to feel that vibe in England.”

Hayley Matthews (West Indies) shared: “People used to say ‘watch women’s sports to support it’ — now they watch because it’s entertaining. This World Cup will be huge.”

ECB marketing director: “This is our moment”

Jen Vile, Marketing Director at the ECB, said: “Catch the Spirit is designed to capture the contagious excitement of a home World Cup. This campaign invites fans to be part of something truly memorable — a moment that can ignite a lifelong passion for women’s cricket.”

Building momentum for women’s cricket

The ICC and ECB are investing heavily in marketing and fan engagement for the tournament, aiming to replicate the cultural impact of the 2017 Cricket World Cup and the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022. From packed stadiums to grassroots celebrations, the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup is positioned as a turning point for the mainstream visibility of women’s cricket.

Fans can buy tickets and learn more about the tournament at the official event site.
