The countdown to the inaugural season of the *European T20 Premier League* enters its final phase with the *2026 ETPL Player Draft*, where the six franchises will complete their squads ahead of the league’s first-ever season.

Last month, ETPL invited registrations from eligible players affiliated with the *Irish, Scottish and Dutch cricket boards* , receiving an overwhelming response with hundreds of players entering the draft pool.
Following the evaluation process, a *final shortlist of players* has been prepared and will now be available for selection.
Over *six rounds, the six franchises* will build their squads, with the final team line-ups confirmed at the conclusion of the draft.

* First-round order determined by a draw of lots
* *Snake draft format* , with the order reversing after each round
* *Five minutes* per selection
* *30-second cooling-off* period after every pick
* *Six rounds* in total
* A *maximum of 12 players* each affiliated with *Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland and the KNCB* can be picked up by the franchises
* *Player salary buckets range from USD 20,000 to USD 55,000*
* *Two representatives* from each franchise will make selections on behalf of their team
