Cricket NSW congratulates Ed Cowan on his election to the Cricket Australia Board at today’s Annual General Meeting.

In accordance with Australian Cricket’s governance requirements, Cowan has resigned from the Cricket NSW Board.

Cowan, who played 18 Tests for Australia, concluded his 15-year First-Class career with NSW and Tasmania in 2018, joining the Cricket NSW Board the following year.

During his seven years as a Non-Executive Director, his expertise across cricket and finance underpinned his substantial contribution to the organisation’s performance.

John Knox, Cricket NSW Chairman, said:

“On behalf of our state’s cricket community, I congratulate Ed on his election to the Cricket Australia Board as the Cricket NSW-nominated Director.

“Ed has been an outstanding Director for CNSW, providing strong and thoughtful leadership for our game on behalf of our Members.

“His deep intellect and understanding of cricket, from grassroots to elite performance and the game’s strategic future, will make him an asset to the CA Board for the benefit of all in Australian cricket.”
