DUBLIN – Cricket Ireland has announced the appointment of former Chair Ross McCollum as interim Chief Executive Officer, effective the week of 15 September 2025. The appointment will provide leadership continuity as the organization continues its search for a permanent CEO.
McCollum served as Chair of Cricket Ireland from 2012 to 2022, overseeing a decade of transformation in Irish cricket. He now returns in an executive capacity to help guide the organization through a pivotal transition period, with a number of strategic projects currently underway.

“The process for finding a new CEO continues apace, and the calibre of candidates has reinforced that this is one of the most significant administration roles in Irish sport.
“Until a permanent CEO is appointed, it is crucial that Cricket Ireland has a clear focal point for direction and decision-making. After a thorough process, the Board decided to appoint Ross McCollum as interim CEO.
“Ross brings a wealth of experience from both cricket and business, and his deep understanding of the organisation makes him the ideal person to step in during this period. He is not a candidate for the permanent position but will remain in post until a successor is named.”
