With the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 approaching, India’s official broadcaster, Star Sports, has released a promotional video featuring former India captain MS Dhoni.
In the video, Dhoni, who led India to the 2013 Champions Trophy title, highlights how matches in the eight-team tournament will be highly intense, requiring a cool head to stay composed.
As buckets of ice are poured over him, Dhoni humorously calls for a Dhoni Refrigeration System (DRS) to stay cool under pressure.
Nicknamed ‘Captain Cool,’ Dhoni guided India to their second Champions Trophy title in 2013 with a narrow victory over England. That triumph made him the first captain to win the T20 World Cup (2007), ODI World Cup (2011), and Champions Trophy.
The upcoming ICC Champions Trophy will be played in Pakistan, with India’s matches set to take place in the UAE, beginning February 19. Defending champions Pakistan will open the tournament against New Zealand at Karachi’s National Stadium.
The competition features the top eight-ranked teams, with Bangladesh, India, New Zealand, and Pakistan in Group A, while Group B includes Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan.
