Karachi Kings are thrilled to announce the appointment of former Australian speedster Shaun Tait as the team’s fast bowling coach for the upcoming season 10 of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Tait, known for his express pace and lethal bowling during his playing days, brings a wealth of experience to the Kings’ dugout. He was previously part of the HBL PSL as a player for Peshawar Zalmi in 2016 and, more recently, as the bowling coach for Quetta Gladiators in HBL PSL 9 (2024).
He has also served as the bowling coach of Afghanistan in 2021 and the bowling coach of Pakistan in 2022-23.
A fearsome fast bowler in his prime, Tait represented Australia in all three formats. He has 598 wickets in professional cricket, including 95 international wickets.
He also played a memorable role in Australia’s 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup triumph. Post-retirement, he has transitioned into coaching, working with various teams and honing the skills of emerging fast bowlers.

The 10th edition of HBL PSL will kick off on Friday, 11 April 2025, with Karachi Kings playing their opening match on Saturday, 12 April 2025, at their home ground, the National Bank Stadium, Karachi, where they will take on Multan Sultans.
