Brisbane, Australia — The KFC T20 Max competition will reach new audiences this season after securing a landmark broadcast deal with the Seven Network. For the first time since its 2022 launch, the tournament will be streamed live and free on 7plus Sport, delivering a major boost for Queensland Premier Cricket.
Selected men’s and women’s matches will be broadcast from Wednesday 20 August to Saturday 6 September, bringing top domestic talent and emerging stars to fans nationwide.
Boost for Queensland Premier Cricket
The agreement was welcomed by Pete Lock, Queensland Cricket’s General Manager – Commercial, Marketing & Corporate Affairs.
“The KFC T20 Max continues to build its reputation as an integral element in Queensland Cricket’s elite framework and an exciting kick-off to the cricket season in Queensland. We’re delighted to see it on 7plus Sport this season,” Lock said.
He added that the competition offers a valuable pathway to the BBL and WBBL, with several Brisbane Heat contracts to be decided based on performances in the tournament.
Showcasing top talent
The KFC T20 Max has been a springboard for players including Josh Brown, Spencer Johnson, Nikhil Chaudhary, Emma de Broughe, Sianna Ginger, Nathan McSweeney, Lloyd Pope, Paddy Dooley, and Jack Wood — all of whom have gone on to play in the Big Bash.
The tournament has also featured high-profile names such as Usman Khawaja, Jess Jonassen, Marnus Labuschagne, Elyse Villani, and Nicola Carey, alongside overseas and interstate players.
Seven Network expands cricket coverage

She noted that 7plus already streams BBL, WBBL, and international matches, giving cricket fans “all in one place” access to top-tier domestic and international action.
