The Opportunity
We are excited to be looking for a Fan Engagement Executive to join the Marketing & Communications team at Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket.

Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket, is an award-winning world-class stadium and venue. It is recognised as one of the UK’s most prestigious venues for sport, business, leisure and entertainment with a capacity of up to 50,000 people for concerts; 26,000 for international cricket matches; meetings and events spaces for up to 2,000 delegates; a four-star hotel with 250 rooms; and an on-site Caffè Nero.
The venue has played host to some of the world’s biggest sporting events, including six ICC Cricket World Cup fixtures in 2019, Ashes Test Matches and world class concerts. In previous years we have welcomed performances from Harry Styles, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and had numerous cricket matches, including England one day internationals and a test match. Key Responsibilities
To support our ambitions to achieve continued growth in Marketing & Communications team as a Fan Engagement Executive you will be responsible for:
- Day-to-day tactical delivery of the brand marketing and membership growth plans to support membership sales objectives as well as engagement and data growth KPIs. The person will be tasked with building and distributing email campaigns to the wider CRM database, crafting copy, activating physical brand campaigns alongside third-party agencies, and designing creative assets alongside the Club’s in-house designer.
- Support the Brand and Venue Marketing Manager with the marketing activity to junior supporters across digital platforms and the community, in conjunction with the Lancashire Cricket Foundation, as part of the Club’s Gen Alpha strategy.
- Work alongside the Lancashire Cricket Foundation to ensure the Lancashire Cricket brand is represented in the community.
- Collaborate with the content team on the development of the annual content calendar, as well as work with the commercial partnerships team in activating partner-related fan activations.
- Support the Brand and Venue Marketing Manager with the development of the annual marketing plans across membership and brand to achieve agreed objectives.
- Work collaboratively with Cricket Marketing Manager, and CRM and Group Sales Executive to provide a steady stream of marketable records to drive ticket sales.
- Ensure the Club is consistent with the brand promise – Here to win, inspire play and make memories – and all activity is compliant with brand guidelines
- Assist ‘TeamCo’ to support the sales, marketing and communications of the Manchester-based The Hundred team where relevant or required
- Support the wider marketing/communications team with proof reading (venue and cricket) marketing collateral
Essential Requirements
- Spirited and driven individual who is looking to make an impact and to support the Club’s vision of becoming ‘The best place to enjoy cricket in the world.’
- Educated to University degree level or equivalent
- A team player who can communicate effectively across departments
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Creative flair with a keen eye for detail
- Demonstrate experience of working across multiple platforms, using a variety of tone of voice, and engaging with diverse audiences.
- Experience using campaign management tools
- Competent using Microsoft Office packages
