Cognizant Major League Cricket (MLC) today announced a new partnership with MVPz, the sports engagement and athlete monetization platform, naming MVPz the Official Sports Trading Card Partner of Major League Cricket. Launching in conjunction with the 2026 MLC season, the partnership will give fans around the world the ability to collect, trade and own officially licensed digital and physical trading cards featuring their favorite MLC athletes.
Through the MVPz platform, fans will be able to discover and collect officially licensed MLC trading cards across a range of formats. Powered by NFC technology, each card will connect fans to dedicated athlete profiles featuring real-time statistics, performance data and player identity content, creating a more interactive way to engage with players and follow the league.
“As Major League Cricket continues to grow, we are focused on creating new ways for fans to connect with our teams, players and the wider cricket community,” said Johnny Grave, CEO of Major League Cricket. “MVPz brings an innovative approach to sports collectibles that blends the tradition of trading cards with the digital engagement today’s fans expect. This partnership gives our supporters in the U.S. and around the world another meaningful way to follow the league, celebrate their favorite athletes and be part of MLC’s continued momentum.”
“We understand that sports engagement is becoming increasingly digital but will never replace the exhilarating experience of a live event. That is why we are dedicated to using technology to enhance the sports fan experience,” said Calum Russell, CEO of MVPz. “We’re delighted to enter a multi-year partnership with Major League Cricket and the Player Association to help grow cricket in the USA and deliver experiences to the fans.”
MVPz’s innovative approach reimagines one of the most iconic forms of sports memorabilia for both longtime collectors and a new generation of fans.
“A trading card has always let you hold a piece of the game. We’ve made it a live one,” said Vamsi Nagavarapu, Co-founder and CTO of MVPz. “Tap it, and you’re connected to the player and to experiences that take you beyond the screen and into the action.”
MVPz cards will be available to fans globally through the MVPz platform and on MLC’s website. For more information, visit www.mvpz.io.
