Mansoor Qadir appointed PCB Election Commissioner by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore, 8 September 2025Mansoor Qadir, a retired PMS Officer (BS-21), has been officially appointed as the Election Commissioner of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The appointment was made by PCB Patron and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif under Article 29 of the PCB Constitution 2014.

Following his appointment, Mansoor Qadir met with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to assume charge of his new role. During the meeting, Qadir briefed the Chairman on his responsibilities as Election Commissioner.

Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed confidence in Qadir’s capabilities, stating that he expects the new Election Commissioner to carry out his duties with commitment and integrity.

The role of the Election Commissioner is a key governance position within the PCB structure, overseeing elections for PCB’s Board of Governors and other constitutional bodies, ensuring transparency and compliance with the PCB Constitution.
