Job Title: Digital Content Intern – Middlesex Women

Reports to: Communications Director

Location: Lord’s Cricket Ground and other home match venues

Contract Term: Fixed-term 6 months internship (April to September 2025). Working hours will be an average of 3 working days per week across the length of the contract.

Salary: £1,200 per month

Purpose of the Job:

Middlesex Cricket is looking for an individual to join their Communications team on a part-time summer internship, working on the digital channels of Middlesex Cricket’s Tier Two Women’s side.

The right person will have a passion for Women’s sport, and will play an active role in helping to showcase Middlesex Women at their best, creating and producing engaging content that builds the profile of the team, creates heroes and roles models of the players, and uses all the content tools at their disposal to ensure Middlesex Women are perceived as one the country’s leading Tier Two sides.

This role WILL require the individual to work on ALL Middlesex Women’s matchdays – many of which are on weekends.

Main duties:

  • Capturing and filming video content for Middlesex Women’s digital channels.
  • Editing videos to produce engaging content for sharing on Middlesex Women’s channels.
  • Posting social media graphics on Women’s digital channels on all match-days
  • Posting all other relevant content on Women’s digital channels on match-days to showcase team and individual performances
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders within the club, including the Women’s playing squad, coaching team etc
  • Produce and post relevant content on Women’s channels to encourage engagement and growth of channels
  • Post content on Women’s channels to encourage spectator attendance at Women’s matches
  • Ensure all match content is uploaded on relevant channels (YouTube/Social media channels/website etc)
  • Take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities whenever reasonably asked
  • Assist rest of communications team to ensure Women’s messaging is communicated effectively through the Club’s CRM channels

OTHER DUTIES:

At times, there will be additional responsibilities that will be required outside of the main roles and responsibilities detailed above:

  • General office duties, answering phones and member enquiries
  • General assistance with members’ queries
  • Assistance at out-grounds with set-up and take-down when required
  • Assistance at Club events when required
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • A passion for bringing a brand to life and championing its values
  • Extensive knowledge of all social media platforms
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop & Premier Pro
  • Knowledge of email communications and CRM
  • Experience in video editing and video content capturing
  • Knowledge of content creation and delivery
  • A passion for Women’s sport
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Being a team player, yet being able to work under own steam is essential
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude, with a willingness to make a difference
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage a heavy workload
