Omar Henry, a former international cricketer and seasoned administrator, has been elected as the new President of Cricket Scotland following the organization’s 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at Westquarter and Redding Cricket Club.
Henry’s election marks a key leadership transition for Cricket Scotland as it continues its work to rebuild trust, modernize governance, and grow participation across the Scottish cricketing landscape.
AGM approves key board appointment and accounts
At the meeting, members also confirmed the appointment of Andrew Lowden as the Regional Associations’ representative (NESC, NoSCA, SPCU) on the Board of Cricket Scotland.
In addition to board appointments, the minutes from the 2024 AGM and the financial accounts for the year ending 31 December 2024 were formally approved by members.
2024 Annual Report and Season Review shared
The 2024 Annual Report was presented by the CEO of Cricket Scotland, offering a review of the year’s organizational progress and challenges. A video review of the 2024 season was also shared as part of the presentation.

Henry’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Cricket Scotland, which is focused on strengthening its regional ties, expanding participation, and restoring confidence following recent reform efforts in governance and equity.
