Rome Gladiators have officially launched their franchise and completed the formal signing to enter the Italia T10 League, marking a new chapter in the Gladiators’ international cricket journey.
The official signing ceremony took place on 7 October 2026, bringing together Mr. Nadeem Omar, Owner of Rome Gladiators, alongside co-owners Mr. Hasan Omar and Mr. Babar Omar, and Mr. Aamir Akhtar, Chairman of Italia T10, to formalize the franchise’s entry into the competition.
Italia T10 is delivered by Apex T10 Ltd, founded by Aamir Akhtar and Nadeem Shahid, who serve as CEO of Italia T10. The league is scheduled to take place in Rome, Italy, from 18 to 29 November 2026, bringing Italian and international players together to compete in the fast-paced T10 format.
The launch of Rome Gladiators reflects the ambition to expand the Gladiators’ presence on the international cricket stage and to be part of the growing potential of the sport in Italy.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Nadeem Omar expressed his confidence in the future of Italia T10, highlighting the opportunity the league presents for cricket’s growth. He described Italia T10 as a platform where cricket has significant potential to develop, emphasizing the importance of the opportunity and the scale of what lies ahead for the sport in Italy.
Rome Gladiators are expected to feature a combination of Italian and international players, with the squad and further team announcements to be confirmed in due course.
With the official launch and signing complete, Rome Gladiators now look ahead to the upcoming Italia T10 season, carrying their identity ROMA INVICTA into a new chapter of international cricket.
