The Professional Cricketers' Association (PCA), founded in 1967 by former England fast bowler Fred Rumsey as the Cricketers' Association, represents past and present first-class cricketers in England and Wales. In the 1970s, the PCA established a standard employment contract and minimum wage for professional cricketers. It also helped create a pension scheme in 1995 and launched the magazine All Out Cricket and the ACE UK Educational Programme in 2002.

Job Purpose

The Professional Cricketers’ Association has been the representative body of past and present professional cricketers in England and Wales, since the organisation was founded in 1967. We have an exciting opportunity for a new role as a Finance & Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Administrator.

The Finance & Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Administrator will assist with day-to-day administration for the Finance and People, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion function.

Finance Responsibilities:

  • Processing and coding invoices received, obtaining appropriate approval, setting up new suppliers, responding to supplier queries, monitoring payment due dates.
  • Raising invoices in relation to our commercial programme, liaising with our Commercial Department plus ad hoc invoicing, credit control and related reporting tasks.
  • Monitoring and responding to emails received in the shared finance inbox.

People, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Responsibilities:

  • Administrative support with the People & EDI Four-Year Plan.
  • Support with research and promote EDI initiatives.
  • Co-ordinate and take notes for the EDI Working Group and Sustainability Working Group.
  • Support and be part of the internal wellbeing staff group (Glow Hub).
  • Support with the preparation of presentations and workshops for members, staff, stakeholders and partner organisation.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • A commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity.
  • The ability to build trust and work as part of a team.
  • Self-motivation and an ability to use initiative.
  • Some experience in a related role such as Office Administrator or other relevant position.
  • Excel skills are essential.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Some experience of working in Finance would be desirable.
  • Experience of Sage 50 an advantage although not essential.
