Lahore, 28 August 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has awarded domestic contracts to 65 women cricketers for the 2025–26 season — marking the third consecutive year of contract distribution and a significant step forward for women’s cricket development in Pakistan.
New Gold and Silver contract categories introduced
For the first time, the contracts have been split into two tiers:
- Gold category: 20 players
- Silver category: 45 players
The contracts are valid from July 2025 to June 2026 and will cover participation in multiple domestic tournaments and U19 competitions during the season.
Focus on performance and potential
Players have been selected based on their recent domestic performances and identified potential across key skillsets. The Women’s National Selection Committee, led by Asad Shafiq and Batool Fatima, finalized the list of 65 players.
The PCB reiterated that players outside this list could still earn contracts by impressing in upcoming domestic competitions and regional academy camps.
