The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that its national selection committee remains unchanged, following recent speculation about internal restructuring.
Only data analyst replaced, no impact on selection authority
In an official statement, a PCB spokesperson clarified that only the data analyst has been replaced, emphasizing that the role carries no voting rights in team selection. Usman Hashmi replaces Hassan Cheema as the new data analyst supporting the committee.
Current selection committee members remain in place
The PCB reaffirmed its confidence in the current selection panel, which consists of:
- Aqib Javed (Member)
- Aleem Dar (Member)
- Asad Shafiq (Member)
- Azhar Ali (Member)
Collaboration with coaching staff remains central
According to the PCB, the selection committee is required to consult with the Head Coach and Captain of each respective format before finalizing any squad decisions. This policy aims to maintain transparency and ensure alignment across the team’s leadership structure.
