Rajasthan Royals are planning for IPL 2027 with Yashasvi Jaiswal firmly in their squad, despite speculation that the India batter could leave the franchise during the offseason, according to a report by RevSportz.
Jaiswal has not indicated to the Royals that he wants to leave, while the franchise continues to include the opener in its plans for next season. The development comes amid wider speculation over Rajasthan’s squad direction following significant personnel changes ahead of IPL 2026.

Speculation around Jaiswal’s future has included suggestions that Mumbai Indians could be interested in acquiring him, with Hardik Pandya potentially moving in the opposite direction. However, there has been no confirmation from Mumbai Indians that such a transaction is being pursued.
Amid the uncertainty surrounding Jaiswal’s position, a top Rajasthan Royals functionary told RevSportz: “He (Jaiswal) hasn’t told us anything (about leaving the franchise).”
The Rajasthan Royals functionary added: “We are planning things for the next season with him firmly on our roster. We have heard some rumours, but from our side, Jaiswal is very much our player.”
The comments provide a clear indication of Rajasthan’s current position heading towards IPL 2027, with Jaiswal remaining part of the franchise’s plans rather than being treated as an outgoing player.
Sooryavanshi’s emergence forms part of wider speculation
Some of the discussion around Jaiswal has centred on Rajasthan’s plans involving Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who has emerged as an important part of the franchise’s setup. There has been speculation that Jaiswal is unhappy with the Royals placing increased emphasis on the young batter, although those suggestions remain unverified.
Similar unverified claims had previously linked Rajasthan’s direction around Sooryavanshi with Sanju Samson’s departure. The former Royals Captain left the franchise for Chennai Super Kings ahead of IPL 2026, with Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran moving in the opposite direction.
The changes left Rajasthan with a reshaped squad, while Jaiswal and Sooryavanshi provided the franchise with firepower at the top of the batting order.
Jaiswal remains central to Rajasthan’s batting
Jaiswal finished IPL 2026 with 427 runs from 16 innings at a strike rate of 152.50 as Rajasthan Royals reached the playoffs. His campaign featured three half-centuries, including an unbeaten 77.
Separate speculation has suggested that Rajasthan’s management was not entirely satisfied with Jaiswal’s attitude, contributing to discussion about a possible trade. There has, however, been no official confirmation from the franchise that the batter has been made available for a move.
