Following the success of last year’s inaugural challenge, the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Step challenge is back for 2026 – bigger, bolder, and with prizes on the line. This global initiative once again invites fans to take a virtual fitness journey across six CPL host nations, uniting supporters from across the Caribbean and beyond in a shared mission of health, fun, and social impact. The tournament is asking fans to “Put your best foot forward!”

Running for 50 days from 1 August to 19 September 2026, the challenge raises the bar with a collective goal of 200 million steps. Participants will once again walk the virtual route from Antigua, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Guyana and finally Barbados, with each milestone destination unlocking exclusive digital content, trivia, team leaderboards, and celebratory media as fans step in the footsteps of their favourite CPL teams.

Over the course of last year’s challenge, fans collectively achieved 179 million steps logged. This is the equivalent of more than 80,000 miles walked – enough to circle the globe over three times. This year the plan is to beat that number.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors fans led the way, recording an incredible 53 million steps. While the team narrowly missed out on lifting the CPL trophy on the field, they emerged victorious in the fan step challenge.

“Last year showed us just how much our fans embraced this challenge, and this year we’re raising the target and raising the stakes. Health and Wellness remains at the heart of what we do at CPL, and we can’t wait to see our fans step up – and be rewarded for it,” said Pete Russell, Republic Bank CPL CEO.
