In a major boost for domestic cricket, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has named Indian cricket superstar Rohit Sharma as the official face of the upcoming T20 Mumbai League Season 3. The move marks a powerful endorsement of the league’s mission to nurture local talent and revive Mumbai’s grassroots cricketing ecosystem.

Rohit, who has long been a symbol of Mumbai’s cricketing excellence, expressed his support for the league’s vision. “Leagues like T20 Mumbai play a key role in identifying new talent. Mumbai has a strong cricketing legacy, and I’m glad to be part of the league’s return. I hope young players use this opportunity well,” said Rohit Sharma.

The league, which is returning after a hiatus, aims to elevate emerging players by offering them a competitive stage within one of India’s most storied cricketing hubs. As part of its renewed effort to expand and evolve, the MCA also welcomed two new franchise operators to the tournament’s third season.

Ajinkya Naik, MCA President, highlighted the significance of having Rohit on board and emphasized the league’s broader vision. “We are proud to announce Rohit Sharma as the face of the T20 Mumbai League. His journey reflects the core values of Mumbai cricket. We also welcome two new franchise operators as we aim to provide a larger platform for young talent.”

With one of Indian cricket’s most respected figures backing the league, the T20 Mumbai League Season 3 is poised to make a strong comeback—blending legacy, opportunity, and the pursuit of future stars.
