About the role

SACA is looking for an experienced Events Lead to join our Events team. The role will be responsible for coordinating the planning and implementation of SACA corporate hospitality including, SACA corporate and Member events.

Key responsibilities:

SACA Events

  • Manage and implement all event and hospitality aspects related to SACA events including but not limited to;
    • SACA Member Events (inc AFL match days)
    • Corporate Hospitality
    • International and domestic cricket match days, including W/BBL and Shield matches
    • Test Match Dinner
    • SACA Village Green
    • Bradman Rolton Medal
    • Dansie McCauley Medal
    • Ad-hoc concerts and sporting events
    • Any other event as required

Event Planning and Delivery

  • Conceptualise, budget, manage and implement agreed events
  • Lead the delivery of agreed events ensure all related requirements are delivered to a high standard
  • Ensure all events are managed on brand, in budget and are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Manage and implement all event related processes such as invitations, RSVP’s, guest lists, menus, AV, guest appearances, budgets, briefing of all stakeholders, event styling, dietary requirements, ticketing and car parking procedures, and guest communication
  • Manage Board, CA, Ministerial and VIP guest expectations for events
  • Act as the chief liaison with AOSMA and management on all matters relating to the Service Agreement. Ensure all service agreement conditions are met and delivered upon
  • Continuously enhance the value proposition and experience offered to members, through new events, ongoing reviews and continuous improvements
  • Coordinate, roster and manage casual staff to deliver high quality member event services
  • Setup and manage the membership events and bookings through the membership database and SACA website, making sure all information is kept up to date at all times
  • Collaboration with key stakeholder, both internal and external i.e commercial hospitality program
  • Ensure all event specific processes are managed efficiently and effectively and that all key stakeholders are consulted and included as required

Match Day

  • Manage and oversee Member and Corporate hospitality event rooms for International Cricket, W/BBL, Shield & One Day Cup Cricket and AFL matches
  • Manage and oversee match day catering in consultation with Club dietician across player, officials and staff for all formats (W/BBL/Shield/ODC)
  • Assist Strikers & Event Experience team on match days when required

Other:

  • Other duties as required by the manager
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations including MOU and department specific contractual arrangements
  • You will hold a valid Working with Children Check or have the ability to obtain one
