COLOMBO (News 1st) — Sirasa TV and TV-1, part of MTV Channel (Pvt) Ltd, have secured exclusive broadcast rights in Sri Lanka for all ACC Asia Cup tournaments from 2025 to 2027, covering both TV and non-exclusive digital platforms.
This landmark deal gives Sri Lankan viewers full access to 12 major Asia Cup events over three years, including men’s and women’s competitions, as well as youth and emerging team tournaments—offering a blend of senior-level and developmental cricket formats.
What’s included in the Sirasa Asia Cup rights deal?
The agreement covers the Men’s T20 and ODI Asia Cups, Women’s Asia Cup, and multiple Under-19 and Emerging Teams tournaments.

“This is a major win for cricket fans in Sri Lanka,” said an official from MTV Channel (Pvt) Ltd. “It ensures uninterrupted, high-quality coverage of Asia’s biggest cricket tournaments across all levels, including women’s and youth formats.”
DP World Asia Cup 2025: What to expect
The first event under the new agreement is the DP World Asia Cup 2025 (Men’s T20), starting 9 September 2025 and concluding with the final on 28 September. A total of 19 matches will take place across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Participating teams include: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka.
Group stage breakdown:

- Group B: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong
Sri Lanka will begin its campaign against Bangladesh on 13 September 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
Promoting women’s cricket on a big stage
The deal also signals a significant move toward gender inclusivity in sports broadcasting. Sirasa TV will cover the Women’s T20 Asia Cup, along with Women’s Under-19 and Emerging Teams events. This inclusion highlights Sirasa TV’s commitment to elevating women’s cricket across South Asia.
