JOHANNESBURG — Cricket South Africa (CSA) has named a 15-player Proteas Women squad for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, which takes place in India from 30 September to 2 November.
Laura Wolvaardt will captain the side, supported by experienced stars Marizanne Kapp, Chloé Tryon, Ayabonga Khaka, and Suné Luus. The group also features power-hitter Tazmin Brits, all-rounders Nadine de Klerk, Anneke Bosch, Annerie Dercksen, and Nondumiso Shangase, along with exciting young wicketkeeper Karabo Meso, who earns her first senior World Cup call-up.

Proteas Women head coach Mandla Mashimbyi said the squad’s preparation and resilience would serve them well in India:
“We have done our best to prepare and we believe this squad can deliver on the world stage. Now it’s about carrying that belief with us every step of the way, along with the support of the entire nation.”
CSA Convenor of Selectors Clinton du Preez added that selection consistency and conditions in the subcontinent were key factors in shaping the squad.
