Dubai, 23 May 2025 — Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) Chairman Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan has congratulated the UAE Men’s cricket team for their stunning T20I series win over Bangladesh at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, calling it a “glorious chapter” in the country’s cricketing history.
Led by captain Muhammad Waseem, the UAE side secured the series with back-to-back wins in the final two matches. The decisive win came on 21 May, as the hosts chased down the target comfortably with seven wickets in hand.
Haider Ali delivered a match-defining spell, claiming 3 wickets for just 7 runs, while Alishan Sharafu (68* not out) and Asif Khan (41* not out) stitched together an unbeaten 87-run fourth-wicket partnership to guide UAE to victory.
