Glamorgan County Cricket Club and Washington Freedom have officially completed a landmark agreement to bring Welsh Fire under joint ownership. The 50:50 franchise partnership has been approved by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which retains overall control of The Hundred competition.
The deal represents more than just a financial investment. For Glamorgan, it signals a pivotal moment in the club’s long-term ambition to elevate cricket in Wales and establish Welsh Fire as a globally recognized and competitive brand.
