A brilliant bowling performance from young all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai and a quick knock from skipper Rahmanullah Gurbaz ensured Ayobi Kabul Eagles beat ACTU Speenghar Tigers easily by 6 wickets in the 14th match of Etisalat Shpageeza Cricket League.

Having won the toss, Ayobi Kabul Eagles’ skipper Rahmanullah Gurbaz opted to field first. The ACTU Speenghar Tigers’ batsmen struggled to be stable except Tamim Surkhrodi and Bahir Shah who played some amazing shots in their knocks. The Tigers ultimately posted 142/8 in the allotted overs as Azmatullah delivered a great bowling display taking 3 wickets giving away only 20 in his 4 overs while left-arm spinners Nangial Kharoty and Zia ur Rahman Akbar took two wickets each.

In response, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Wasim Zazai gave the Eagles a tremendous opening stand of 67 before Gurbaz was out in the final over of the powerplay. Noor Ali Zadran joined in as number 3 and helped the Eagles win the match easily as Sediqullah Atal and Samiullah Shinwari scored 18 each as well.

The next match of today will be played between DG Bost Defenders and Ahmadzai Amo Sharks.
