Melbourne Stars: WBBL release revised fixture

The Melbourne Stars will be looking for early season bragging rights when they face the Melbourne Renegades in the opening match of the WBBL|06 season.

The derby marks a high-quality opening to what is a much-anticipated season.

The opening match of the tournament kicks off on October 25 at North Sydney Oval live on Channel 7 and Fox Cricket.

There’ll be no shortage of your favourite Stars on TV with Channel 7 and Foxtel set to broadcast six of our Stars matches live.

Additional matches will be broadcast through KAYO and Cricket.com.au streaming platforms.

The Stars have made a number of changes during the off-season including recruiting Meg Lanning, English pair Katherine Brunt and Nat Sciver and rising star Georgia Gall.

The squad is due to depart soon for Sydney to join the new Rebel WBBL Village in Sydney Olympic Park.

The Rebel WBBL Village will see parts of Sydney Olympic Park transformed into a high-class athletes’ precinct to accommodate all eight teams and staff. The Village, created with the support of rebel, the Sydney Olympic Park Authority, Accor Hotels and Cricket NSW will see the League given exclusive use of multiple hotels, high performance facilities, dining venues and more.

Saturday November 14 – Thunder v Stars – Sydney Showground Stadium 7.05pm
Sunday November 22 – Stars v Sixers – North Sydney Oval 1.45pm
