The Melbourne Stars are excited to announce that SIXT Australia have signed as the official vehicle hire partner of the Melbourne Stars.

The partnership will see Melbourne Stars players and staff utilise SIXT rental vehicles across the country throughout WBBL|09 and BBL|13, as well as other events such as the Super Stars Road Trip across regional Victoria in August.

SIXT will also be the Presenting Partner of Road to the Draft and Road to BBL|13, which will appear across the Stars digital channels in coming months.

“We extend a very warm welcome to SIXT to the Stars family as our official vehicle hire partner and with so much time spent on the road every summer, they are a natural fit for our club,” said Melbourne Stars General Manager, Blair Crouch.

“We have been very impressed with their commitment to environmental sustainability which aligns to our team green initiative, on our quest to become the first carbon neutral professional sporting club in Australia.”

“SIXT are proud to announce their partnership with the Melbourne Stars for the upcoming BBL and WBBL seasons, coming on board as an official vehicle supplier for both teams,” said Matt Beattie, CEO SIXT Australia.

“Not only we will we be helping the teams in their travels over the Summer, we will also be offering the entire Stars member base discounts on vehicle rentals around Australia.”

“As an organisation leading the shift to electric vehicle rental in Australia, SIXT are thrilled to be supporting the Stars with their ambition to become the first carbon neutral sporting club in Australia.”

“We wish both the BBL and WBBL teams success in their respective seasons, and look forward to supporting all Stars members with their vehicle rental needs over the Summer and beyond.”
