About The Foundation

In early 2018, Ruth Strauss, a mum of two young boys, was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers. The Foundation arose from Ruth’s wish to help others in similar circumstances and has since built a network of care – offering direct support to families through its Family Support Service, training health(care) and education professionals to support (affected) parents and children, and funds vital research into non-smoking lung cancer (to improve earlier diagnosis, treatment and care).

We are seeking a compassionate, dynamic and passionate Content Executive to join our team and help us drive our mission forward by helping to develop and execute impactful marketing strategies that raise awareness, engage supporters/beneficiaries, and generate essential funding.

In her memory, Sir Andrew has launched The Ruth Strauss Foundation to:

  • Provide emotional support for families to prepare for the death of a parent from cancer
  • Raise awareness of the need for more research & collaboration in the fight against non-smoking lungcancers
