About the role
Auckland Cricket is seeking a motivated Game Development Officer to grow participation and strengthen connections between schools, clubs, and communities across North-West Auckland region.
This full-time, fixed-term role plays a key part in delivering engaging cricket programmes that attract, retain, and inspire young people.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver school and community programmes (e.g. Smash Play, Girls Smash)
- Build strong links between schools and local clubs.
- Support clubs and schools with modified competitions, programmes, and coach development.
- Deliver festivals, activations, and inclusive participation initiatives.
- Support major events (Super Smash, international matches)
- Track participation and contribute to reporting and insights.
About you
You’re energetic, organised, and passionate about sport and community impact.
We’re looking for:
- Experience in community sport game development, programme delivery, or school sport.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to manage time, priorities, and multiple stakeholders.
- A proactive, team-focused attitude.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of cricket or similar sporting environments.
- Experience delivering youth or participation programmes.
What you need
- Full drivers licence and access to a vehicle.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends.
- Ability to travel across North/West Auckland.
- Police vetting required.
