The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is the governing body for cricket in Bangladesh. It joined the ICC in 1977 and became a full member in 2000. The BCB oversees Bangladesh's men's, women's, and under-19 national teams.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is deeply saddened at the passing away of Attorney General Mahbubey Alam. The country’s longest-serving attorney general breathed his last in Dhaka today at the age of 71.

BCB President Nazmul Hassan, MP paid his tribute to Mahbubey Alam: “We gratefully recall Mahbubey Alam’s valuable advices and suggestions as a legal consultant to the BCB on many occasions. He was a most enlightened person and his vast contribution to the judicial system in Bangladesh will always be remembered.

‘On behalf of the BCB, I extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the family of Mahbubey Alam.”
