Job Title: Participation Coach
Reports to: Head of Participation/ Schools Cricket Manager
Hours: 35 Hours per week (Typical Working hours between 9am-6pm Monday-Friday)
Location: Berkshire Cricket Office, The Cricket Pavilion, Enborne Street, Newbury, RG14 6TW
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Remuneration: Salary: £23k-26k per annum (pro rata) plus 10% Non-Contributory

Job Purpose
Berkshire Cricket is an independent charity that looks to grow the game of cricket within the County of Berkshire, including participation and performance programmes. The charity also performs the role of the County Cricket Board and works closely with the England & Wales Cricket Board and other cricket partners to deliver highly impactful and important opportunities for people to engage with the game.
Role Purpose
To support delivery of the strategic plan across Berkshire that we “We will grow and strengthen the game, support communities, and inspire talent in Berkshire to reach its potential” with a dedicated focus on schools cricket and community provision.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver in Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Community Settings through the Chance to Shine Schools and Street Programmes
• Deliver All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket sessions in school and community settings
• Promote strong links between clubs, local organisations and other strategic partners
• Identify and record individual or group case studies for promotional and M&E purposes
• Be prepared to undertake any other duties related to the work of these functions as required
Person Specification
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential Requirements
• A passion and enthusiasm for working with young people
• An understanding and experience of working within a school, club and or youth sports environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good Communication skills
• Ability to travel independently between sites (Full and valid UK driving licence)
Desirable Requirements
• Sports/Cricket Coaching qualification desirable but not essential as full training can be provided
