Canada have officially secured their spot in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 after an undefeated campaign in the Americas Regional Qualifier, held in King City, Ontario.
The hosts topped the four-team tournament, finishing ahead of Bahamas, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands to become the 13th team confirmed for the 20-team ICC T20 World Cup next year, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
Canada dominate Americas Regional Qualifier
Canada showcased consistent form and superior performance throughout the regional qualifier, winning all their matches to emerge as clear leaders. The tournament served as the pathway event for North and Central America, with just one qualification slot available.
With this achievement, Canada joins a growing list of confirmed participants for the 2026 edition of the tournament, set to be the largest T20 World Cup to date.

The final seven slots for the 2026 tournament will be filled through Continental Qualifiers:
- Europe Qualifier: 5–11 July 2025 (2 slots)
- Africa Qualifier: 19 September – 4 October 2025 (2 slots)
- Asia–East Asia Pacific Qualifier: 1–17 October 2025 (3 slots)
