Defending Champions Trinbago Knight Riders Banking on Experience and Power
Defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders have once again assembled a squad that blends proven experience with exciting emerging talent as they set their sights on a record-extending sixth CPL title.
The Trinidadian core remains intact, with Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Akeal Hosein and Sunil Narine leading the charge. The champions have also retained the services of Usman Tariq, Alex Hales and Colin Munro, ensuring continuity and experience throughout the squad.
New additions include West Indies all-format all-rounder Justin Greaves, South African top-order star Matthew Breetzke and UAE fast bowler Ajay Kumar, alongside several promising domestic players who will add youthful energy to the title defence.
Jamaica Kingsmen Prepared for Fantastic CPL Debut
The newest franchise in the Biggest Party in Sport, the Jamaica Kingsmen, may be making their CPL debut, but their squad is packed with world-class talent ready to make an immediate impact.
Rovman Powell leads a strong Jamaican contingent that includes Andre Russell, Odean Smith, Kirk McKenzie, Vitel Lawes and Jeavor Royal.
Adding valuable international experience are former CPL champions Keemo Paul and Saim Ayub, while Usman Khan, Hassan Khan, Maaz Sadaqat and the exciting Hunain Shah provide further depth, firepower and versatility.
Saint Lucia Kings Investing in Youth and Tactical Balance
The Saint Lucia Kings have built a squad tailored to the demands of a season that will be played across St. Vincent, Jamaica and Barbados, placing particular emphasis on a versatile bowling attack.
USA international Shadley van Schalkwyk makes his CPL debut and joins Matthew Forde, McKenny Clarke and Keon Gaston in a pace attack capable of troubling any batting lineup.
Their spin department is equally formidable, featuring the left-arm mystery spin of Noor Ahmad alongside Maheesh Theekshana, with captain Roston Chase adding another quality spin option.
With Ackeem Auguste, Charith Asalanka, Jewel Andrew and Chase anchoring the batting, the Kings possess the balance and depth needed to challenge for the 2026 title.
Guyana Amazon Warriors Banking on Experience
The most consistent franchise in CPL history, the Guyana Amazon Warriors have once again leaned on experience as they pursue a second championship—and their first away from Providence after lifting the trophy at home in 2023.
Veteran leg-spinner Imran Tahir will again lead the side, bringing his trademark passion, tactical brilliance and leadership.
The Warriors have retained international batting star Shai Hope alongside explosive West Indians Romario Shepherd, Shimron Hetmyer, Quentin Sampson and speedster Shamar Joseph.
Further strengthening the squad are explosive New Zealand batter Glenn Phillips, Afghanistan all-rounder Muhammad Nabi and experienced left-arm spinner Khary Pierre, giving the Warriors a well-rounded squad capable of challenging anywhere in the Caribbean.
Barbados Tridents Stock Up on Firepower
The Barbados Tridents have sent an early warning to the rest of the league with a powerful squad boasting strength in every department.
Their batting revolves around the formidable trio of Quinton de Kock, Brandon King and Sherfane Rutherford, with Zachary Carter and Kadeem Alleyne providing additional firepower.
Experienced internationals Chris Green, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, George Linde and Daniel Sams add balance to the squad and significantly strengthen the Tridents’ bid to lift the trophy on home soil, with the final set for Kensington Oval.
The spin attack receives further depth with the addition of Gudakesh Motie, while Zishan Motara, Kofi James, Johann Layne and Rivaldo Clarke round out a squad packed with talent and versatility.
Antigua & Barbuda Falcons Ready for Lift-Off
After finishing in the top half of the standings in 2025, the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons will be aiming to go even further with one of the tournament’s most star-studded squads.
Moeen Ali, Shadab Khan, Kusal Perera, Evin Lewis and Fabian Allen form an impressive core capable of dominating with both bat and ball.
Express fast bowler Alzarri Joseph returns to represent his home franchise for the first time, joining fellow Antiguans Rahkeem Cornwall and Karima Gore.
Emerging stars Jayden Seales, Shamar Springer and Amir Jangoo add further quality and depth, making the Falcons genuine title contenders.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots Settled and Ready to Rumble
Johnson Charles and Andre Fletcher reunite at the top of the order for the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, giving the two-time champions one of the tournament’s most dangerous opening partnerships.
With Kyle Mayers, Alick Athanaze, Jason Holder and brothers Mikyle and Jeremiah Louis also in the lineup, the Patriots boast plenty of batting power and all-round quality.
Their overseas recruits provide additional strength across all departments. Pakistan speedster Naseem Shah offers genuine pace, while Waqar Salamkheil and Wanindu Hasaranga headline a dangerous spin attack.
Sri Lankan all-rounder Dasun Shanaka rounds out the squad, bringing finishing ability and valuable experience with both bat and ball.
