The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has announced the launch of a major regional fitness initiative, “Step Into The Party” — a step challenge designed to combine the excitement of cricket with the power of community wellness.

The challenge kicks off on 26 July 2025 and will take fans on a virtual fitness journey across all six CPL host nations. The collective goal? To walk one billion steps together — symbolically moving from St Kitts to Guyana — while unlocking exclusive content and competing for digital glory along the way.

Walking across the Caribbean — virtually

Over the course of 58 days, participants will aim to reach step milestones that represent key CPL destinations: Antigua, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, and Guyana.

Each milestone reached will unlock special CPL-themed digital content including:

  • Trivia and cricket facts
  • Team-based leaderboards
  • Exclusive celebratory media

This challenge is about more than just fitness. It’s about uniting communities, celebrating culture, and stepping forward together for a cause that matters,” said Pete Russell, CEO of Republic Bank CPL. “Health and wellness is something that is very important to the CPL and we want to challenge our fans to come on a fitness journey with us.”

How to join the CPL Step Challenge

Participants can register through YuMuuv, the official step challenge platform. The app is compatible with most smartphones and fitness tracking devices.

Upon registration, fans will select one of six CPL franchises to represent:

  • Trinbago Knight Riders
  • Saint Lucia Kings
  • St Kitts and Nevis Patriots
  • Guyana Amazon Warriors
  • Barbados Royals
  • Antigua & Barbuda Falcons

Daily steps will be logged automatically, contributing toward the team and collective goals. A campaign of weekly email updates, vibrant social content, and digital incentives will keep participants motivated throughout the challenge.

Health and purpose at the heart of the campaign

The challenge also aims to make a broader impact by raising funds for public health initiatives across the Caribbean. This initiative reflects CPL’s growing commitment to using sport as a vehicle for social good and wellness.

Registration opens on 26 July, with further details and access links to be shared on CPL’s official social media platforms. Fans can scan the QR code, create a profile, and get ready to start walking — for their team, their health, and their region.
