Coolidge Cricket Ground Incorporated (CCGI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cricket West Indies Inc. (CWI), invites suitably qualified firms, contractors, suppliers, consortiums and specialist service providers to submit proposals for the development of the CWI Cricket Campus – The CWI High Performance Centre at Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua and Barbuda.
This opportunity forms part of CWI’s wider vision to strengthen West Indies cricket through practical, modern and performance-focused infrastructure. The objective is to create a disciplined Phase One development that supports elite cricket preparation, year-round training, sports science, strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, recovery, outdoor practice, match operations and venue presentation.
The Coolidge Cricket Ground property is a strategic CWI-controlled campus asset in Antigua and Barbuda. CCGI is seeking proposals that make intelligent use of existing buildings, services and site infrastructure, while adding only the new facilities required to deliver a functional, durable and value-for-money High Performance Centre.
At its core, this is a sports infrastructure and high-performance delivery opportunity. CCGI is not seeking unnecessary architectural complexity, iconic design statements or over-designed facilities. The requirement is for practical, buildable, code-compliant and climate-resilient solutions that protect CCGI’s budget while delivering the required athlete, cricket, operational and venue outcomes.
Respondents are expected to demonstrate clear project understanding, technical capability, commercial discipline and delivery accountability. Proposals should clearly identify the recommended delivery model, design approach, approvals pathway, construction methodology, material sourcing, equipment specifications, warranties, delivery programme, payment terms, risk controls, commissioning process and after-sales support.
The RFP allows qualified respondents to propose practical delivery solutions that may address the full programme or specific packages, subject always to the requirements, evaluation process and conditions set out in the RFP. All respondents must review the full RFP and submit proposals strictly in accordance with the RFP instructions.
Project Scope Overview
CWI Administration Offices / Operations Accommodation
Functional office and operations accommodation to support CWI and CCGI administration, cricket operations, executive leadership, meetings, reception, ICT, staff amenities and operational support. Respondents should assess existing buildings, pavilion areas, broadcast-centre spaces and other available assets before proposing new construction.
Indoor Cricket Training Centre
A cost-effective new-build indoor cricket facility with full-length cricket lanes, safe netting, wicket/turf systems, bowling-machine compatibility, simulator capability, video analysis, coaching and operations space, storage, lighting, ventilation, climate control and safety systems.
Fitness Centre, Sports Science, Physio, Rehab and Recovery
Refurbishment and retrofit of existing facilities where practical, with investment focused on athlete performance, strength and conditioning equipment, sports science, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, hot/cold recovery, pool interface, ICT, AV, plumbing, electrical services, ventilation and specialist FF&E.
Outdoor Net Facility Expansion
Expansion and upgrade of outdoor practice nets to improve training capacity, safety and daily use. The scope may include lane improvements, turf/synthetic/concrete/granite wicket options, bowler run-ups, fencing, netting, drainage, access, lighting and maintainable training areas.
Athletic Performance Track
A simple, cost-effective straight training track to support acceleration, deceleration, fast-bowler run-up development, fielding speed, return-to-run rehabilitation and athlete testing.
Coolidge Cricket Ground / 4Knights Oval Modernisation
Practical venue upgrades to improve match operations, training use, sponsorship presentation, event capability and operational reliability. The scope may include LED screens, tri-vision sight screens, selected pavilion / operations-room improvements, power, controls and supporting venue technology.
