Cricket West Indies (CWI) has unveiled “Full Ah Energy” as the official anthem for the upcoming West Indies Women’s and Men’s Home Series against South Africa, Australia, and Pakistan. Performed by rising Trinidadian Soca artist Mical Teja, the track is a reimagining of his 2025 Carnival hit, “Energy,” adapted exclusively for CWI to celebrate Caribbean culture and cricket passion.
The anthem will serve as the soundtrack for a cross-platform campaign designed to ignite fan enthusiasm throughout the series. “Full Ah Energy” will be featured in stadium entertainment, promotional videos, social media activations, and fan experiences—unifying regional support and channeling the spirit of West Indies cricket.
West Indies cricket meets Caribbean rhythm
“We are thrilled to partner with Mical Teja, one of the most exciting, young voices in Soca music today, to bring this anthem to life,” said Lynford Inverary, Chief Operating Officer of CWI. “Full Ah Energy speaks to the passion and resilience of our players and fans. It reflects who we are as a people—dynamic, fearless, and full of spirit.”
The launch comes ahead of a packed summer schedule beginning in June, starting with the West Indies Women vs South Africa in three ODIs and three T20Is, followed by the Men’s Test and T20I series against Australia, and closing with Pakistan’s tour for T20I and ODI matches.
Mical Teja: “It’s more than a song—it’s a movement”
“Cricket is part of who we are in the West Indies,” said Mical Teja. “To produce a cricket version of ‘Energy’ is an honour. It’s a message: our energy is infectious, and our cricket reflects that.”
The anthem captures the excitement of matchdays while spotlighting the intersection of music, movement, and national pride. CWI and Teja are also collaborating to bring the anthem directly into schools and communities across the Caribbean.
Connecting with the next generation through music and cricket
CWI’s COO Lynford Inverary added: “This campaign is about more than just cricket. ‘Full Ah Energy’ allows us to reach young people, encouraging them to move, dance, play, and embrace a healthy lifestyle rooted in Caribbean culture.”
The anthem will serve as a rallying cry for fans throughout the home season, driving engagement and atmosphere in stadiums and online. The campaign’s community engagement element includes school visits, music workshops, and youth programs to promote cricket and physical activity.
Fans can stream “Full Ah Energy” on all major platforms and follow the movement using the hashtag #FullAhEnergy.
