LONDON: The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have officially launched ‘Catch the Spirit’ — a bold new global marketing campaign for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will take place in England next summer.

It features global stars including Ellyse Perry (Australia), Hayley Matthews (West Indies), Lauren Bell (England), and Richa Ghosh (India), along with a surprise cameo from former England international Andrew Flintoff.

‘Catch the Spirit’ captures the energy and national excitement that a World Cup brings, and its launch coincides with tickets going on general sale for all matches across the 33-game tournament, which runs from 12 June to 5 July 2026.

Lord’s to host blockbuster fixtures, including the final

London’s iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground will be a major venue for the tournament, hosting high-profile matches including:

  • England v West Indies – Wednesday 24 June (18:30)
  • South Africa v Qualifier – Sunday 28 June (10:30)
  • Australia v India – Sunday 28 June (14:30)
  • The Final – Sunday 5 July (14:30)

These marquee fixtures are expected to draw large crowds, with the final offering the chance for a new chapter in women’s cricket history to be written at the home of cricket.

England players react to the home tournament

Maia Bouchier, England batter, shared her excitement: “Growing up in North London, I’ve been lucky to spend a lot of time at Lord’s. It never gets lost on me how special it is to play there. It’s going to be incredible with the World Cup here next summer, for the team and the fans.”
