The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced key details for its two upcoming global women’s events — the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 in India and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England.
Both tournaments are set to mark major milestones in the growth of the women’s game, with confirmed venues, opening matches, and knockout stages now shared with fans across the globe.
India to host Women’s World Cup 2025 across five venues
The 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup will take place from 30 September to 2 November, returning to India for the first time since 2013. Matches will be played at:
- M. Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru)
- ACA Stadium (Guwahati)
- Holkar Stadium (Indore)
- ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam)
- R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo, Sri Lanka)
The eight-team tournament will follow a round-robin format with 28 league matches. India will feature in the opening match in Bengaluru.
Knockout venues will depend on Pakistan’s qualification. If Pakistan reaches the semifinals or final, matches will shift to Colombo. Otherwise:
- First semifinal: Guwahati or Colombo – 29 October
- Second semifinal: Bengaluru – 30 October
- Final: Bengaluru or Colombo – 2 November
England set to host expanded Women’s T20 World Cup 2026
The 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in England from 12 June to 5 July. The tournament opener will take place at Edgbaston, with England Women featured in the first game.
In a major boost for women’s cricket visibility, both semifinals will be played at The Oval on 30 June and 2 July, while the final will be staged at Lord’s on 5 July 2026.
Fans can register for an exclusive ticket presale on 12 June 2025, with pricing starting at:
- Opening match: £15 for adults, £5 for juniors
- Semi-finals: £20 for adults, £10 for juniors
- Final: £30 for adults, £15 for juniors
Seven English venues to host 33 matches in 24 days
The T20 World Cup will feature 12 teams across seven venues in England and Wales. Confirmed venues include:
- Edgbaston (Birmingham)
- The Oval (London)
- Lord’s (London)
- Old Trafford (Manchester)
- Headingley (Leeds)
- The Hampshire Bowl (Southampton)
- Bristol County Ground (Bristol)
Eight teams have already qualified, with four more to be decided via the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in 2025.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah said:
