Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is the sole independent governing body for managing, organizing and developing cricket (Men and Women) in Afghanistan. The game of cricket was officially established in 1995 in Afghanistan. It was granted affiliate membership by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2001, associate membership of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in 2003, and full membership of the International Cricket Council in June 2017. Afghanistan has its National Cricket Teams playing among the top 10 cricketing countries of the world.
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Event Logistics Manager, the Event Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating and delivering all logistical requirements for ACB domestic and international events. The role liaises with internal departments, vendors, and suppliers to ensure the timely procurement, shipment, and delivery of event materials and services. The officer supports event set-up and operations, manages logistics-related documentation, and addresses day-of-event operational needs to ensure smooth and successful event execution.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Managing the agreements and contracts signed by the Event Logistics department.
  • Ensure to identify the client’s requirements and expectations for each event.
  • Delivering event materials in consultation of relevant department.
  • Ensure compliance with ACB policies, procurement procedures, and relevant contractual obligations.
  • Developing a vendors/suppliers database and filling in for future records.
  • Maintain all logistical infrastructures for administration and operations, including the purchasing of goods or services for any event of the ACB.
  • Liaise with vendors, exhibitors and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.
  • Support obtaining quotations from different suppliers for procurement requests according to the approved PR.
  • Manage all event set-up and follow-up processes.
  • Update the events record database on a regular basis.
  • Coordinating logistical elements for all ACB domestic & International events.
  • Assist in catering services for all events organized and hosted by ACB.
  • Visit and stay in the provinces during domestic events to support logistics and procurement processes.
  • Establish Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) and obtain quotations in advance of domestic events, ensuring proactive on-site support.
  • Perform immediate financial clearance in accordance with SOPs upon completion of events.
  • Provide good customer service.
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience of 3 – 4 Years’ in procurement or logistics.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of event management.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English, Pashto, and Dari.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills and capabilities.
