Overall Purpose of the Role: 

We are seeking an organised, proactive and highly efficient Cricket Administrator to ensure the smooth and professional running of all cricket-related activities at BACA.

Working closely with the Director of Cricket, the cricket coaching team, academy colleagues, and external partners, the post holder will coordinate programme administration, fixtures, events, communications, finance processes and recruitment activities.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be committed to supporting inclusive opportunities in cricket, including the continued development of the girls’ programme.
  • Represent BACA cricket with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities  

Programme Administration (including the girls’ cricket programme) 

  • Work collaboratively with Academy and Trust colleagues, the BACA Cricket Committee, Sussex Cricket and other stakeholders to administer and support cricket programmes.
  • Maintain effective and compliant administrative processes, including programme records, attendance, communications and documentation.
  • Administer cricket-specific recruitment and admissions activity in line with Academy procedures.
  • Manage and maintain the Cricket Centre and Programme calendar, ensuring all stakeholders have accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Coordinate and facilitate timely parental communication regarding cricket activities, fixtures and events.
  • Provide administrative support for the cricket alumni society, maintaining databases and engagement activities.
  • Work with the Finance Team to process invoices, set up suppliers and ensure compliance with ordering procedures.
  • Manage cricket-related resources and consumables, ensuring stock control aligns with process, budget and programme needs.

Student Recruitment 

  • Support the planning and delivery of external recruitment events, ensuring strong promotion of all cricket pathways with particular focus on the girls’ programme.
  • Represent BACA and the cricket programme at external events, showcasing opportunities to students and families.
  • Respond to enquiries from prospective parents and coordinate visits, ensuring an excellent experience for families.

Marketing and Communications 

  • Produce and supply regular updates, news items and celebration stories for Academy and Trust communications.
  • Contribute to the cricket marketing and communications plan, including content for social media and press.
  • Support the design and production of marketing materials and recruitment resources.
  • Maintain cricket center display boards, ensuring they are attractive, current and aligned with BACA branding.

Fixtures and Events Administration 

  • Coordinate cricket fixtures and events in partnership with cricket and academy staff, including:
  • Confirmation of fixtures with staff, students, parents and opposition teams
  • Communications regarding team selection, timings, venues and consent requirements
  • Updating all relevant calendars
  • Supporting travel and logistical arrangements
  • Ensuring matchday setup including umpires’ refreshments
  • Arranging catering where required
  • Ensuring all trip procedures comply with the BACA Trips Policy

Scoring and recording results 

  • Support the delivery of cricket events throughout the year, including fundraising and external cricket club events.
  • (where applicable) Engage in development of coaching skills through optional training and supervised opportunities.

Partnerships 

  • Work closely with Sussex Cricket, strengthening the relationship as BACA’s designated county state school partner.
  • Support activity with the Aldridge Foundation, including enrichment-funded programmes.
  • Represent BACA cricket at appropriate external events and promotional opportunities.
  • Support the MCC Foundation Hub administrator as required.
  • Liaise with local cricket club partners, including St Peter’s CC, ensuring effective coordination of shared facilities and pathway development.
  • Engage with the University of Brighton to support the emerging university cricket partnership.
  • Support cricket fundraising initiatives across the year.

The post holder will be required to have a valid Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate and be re-checked every 3 years as per Aldridge Education procedures.
