Job Description

The Baroda Cricket Association is seeking a progressive, high-calibre cricket professional to lead our Senior Men’s Team as Head Coach for the upcoming domestic season.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of a proud cricketing institution, build a dominant team culture, and drive sustained excellence in India’s premier domestic competition – the coveted Ranji Trophy.

Primary Role:

As Head Coach, you would be responsible for the overall performance, preparation and development of the Baroda Senior Men’s Team across all BCCI domestic tournaments. You would work to create a high-performance environment that nurtures talent, maximises potential, and delivers consistent results.


Skills

Key Result Areas:
• Design and execute comprehensive season-long training and match preparation programmes.
• Collaborate seamlessly with selectors, support staff, analysts, physiotherapists and trainers.
• Foster a professional, disciplined and ambitious team culture.
• Identify and fast-track emerging talent from our strong age-group and grassroots systems.
• Oversee player development, workload management and elite fitness standards.
• Implement modern coaching methodologies, tactical innovation and data-driven performance analysis.


Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria for consideration:
• Must have represented India, a State Association Team or played First-Class cricket at a recognised level.
• Must hold a BCCI Level-3, NCA, ICC, ECB, Cricket Australia or equivalent high-level coaching certification.
Preferred Profile:
We particularly welcome candidates with prior experience as Head Coach or Assistant Coach with:
• Ranji Trophy teams
• IPL / Franchise cricket
• India A or National Pathway programmes
• High Performance Centres
• Strong leadership, management abilities and effective communication skills are essential, along with deep knowledge of domestic cricket structures and elite player development systems.
Tenure:
Contract for the 2026–27 domestic season, with potential for extension based on performance.
